Begin your spectacular undersea journey browsing for souvenirs at the Shallow Draught in Bridgetown or enjoying the breeze outside on the sun deck watching the boats go by.

After we announce your tour, we invite you to board our transfer vessel, which will take you to the submarine. Sit back and enjoy the scenic cruise to the dive site as the professional crew welcomes you and gives a safety briefing. The white sandy beaches of the Barbados coastline is always in sight and the short trip soon comes to an end when you make the easy transfer to the submarine.

You are now seated in a real submarine, with big view ports all around, fully submerged in the aquamarine Caribbean Sea, as curious exotic fish peek in at you and sea fans sway. This 'must-do' undersea voyage, can take you to a shipwreck and to depths of 150 feet, in air conditioned comfort, which in the past has been reserved only for scuba divers. A knowledgeable co-pilot narrates the 40 - minute underwater adventure and will help you to identify and explain the amazing sights on the other side of your window. Before returning to the surface, the bottom of the ocean with large expanses of sand becomes your playground.

The professional crew ensures you create amazing unforgettable memories as you are piloted among an array of colorful coral formations, and tropical marine life, aboard the unique Submarine. On surfacing, the transfer boat awaits your return and will ferry you back the Shallow Draught and then onto your hotel or the cruise terminal.

All adult tickets include a complimentary drink. Transport can be provided to and from the tour at an additional charge.

FAQ's

Am I allowed to take pictures while I participate in the submarine adventures?
We encourage passengers to take photographs and shoot video while enjoying any of our tours. For best results underwater, we recommend a minimum of 800 ASA speed film. We do not recommend using a flash while underwater as the thick glass on the submarines will act as a mirror and bounce the flash back into the camera rendering poor photographic results.

What types of sea life will I see when I take the Submarine adventure?
When you embark on a submarine, you're not just enjoying an underwater ride in air conditioned comfort, you're receiving a guided tour from our in house team of experienced pilots, dive masters and underwater tour guides. You journey into our coastal waters allow you to discover a vast variety of colourful tropical marine life including the awesome predators like Barracudas, Jacks, Eels, Groupers, Snappers and many more. See graceful Turtles, Stingrays and an abundance of schooling colourful fish including Sargeant Majors, Creole Wrasse, Silver Sides, Blue and Brown Chromis to mention a few.

You'll also learn about the ecology of this exciting eco system, behavioural patterns of fish and their feeding habits, how corals grow and how fish and other marine life compete for survival in their world and much more.

Why are there age and size limitations on the tour?
Age and height limitation are imposed as safety precautions and/or by government regulation.

Wheelchair guests may participate if they are able to safely navigate a 11-step ladder into and out of the submarine. No infants, or children under 36" in height.
